Saudi grand mufti receives head of Taif charity for people with disabilities

Saudi Arabia’s Grand Mufti and Chairman of the Council of Senior Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Fawzan Al-Fawzan, received Dr. Saeed bin Ali Al-Zahrani, Chairman of the Board of the Taif Charitable Association for People with Disabilities, today at the headquarters of the General Presidency for Scholarly Research and Ifta in Taif. Al-Zahrani was accompanied by association officials and several children with disabilities.

The grand mufti emphasized that caring for people with disabilities is a value encouraged by Islamic teachings, reflecting compassion and solidarity within society. He commended the association’s efforts in supporting and rehabilitating children with disabilities.

During the meeting, the grand mufti was briefed on the association’s programs and initiatives, as well as the rehabilitative, educational, and social services it provides. He praised the dedication shown in serving the association’s beneficiaries.

Sheikh Al-Fawzan prayed for the children’s well-being and upbringing, asking God to reward their parents and caregivers, and encouraged them to pursue knowledge and uphold good morals.

The meeting was also attended by Sheikh Dr. Fahd bin Saad Al-Majid, Secretary-General of the Council of Senior Scholars.
