Earlier today, the General Authority of Civil Aviation announced that King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh was attacked on Saturday afternoon, 29 Rabi Al-Akhir 1448 AH, corresponding to October 10, 2026. The incident comes amid ongoing assaults targeting civil aviation facilities in the Kingdom. Several injuries were reported, with authorities working to determine the exact number.

The authority stated that airport operations have been temporarily suspended while damage is assessed and facility safety is verified in coordination with relevant agencies. Updates will be announced as they become available.
