King Faisal Specialist Hospital wins top honors in three Health Performance Award categories

King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre claimed first place in three categories at the eighth edition of the Health Performance Award, during a ceremony attended by Minister of Health Fahad Al-Jalajel, along with senior health sector leaders, partners, and specialists.

The Riyadh branch of the hospital received the "Leadership in Advanced Specialized Care Efficiency" award, which recognizes outstanding outcomes in specialized care and optimal use of resources based on performance indicators. It also won the "Leadership in Patient Experience" award, honoring the hospital's efforts to improve patient access to services and reduce waiting times through digital appointment management and enhanced patient flow in emergency and outpatient departments.

Meanwhile, King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Madinah earned first place in the Excellence in Emergency Care category. The emergency department streamlined patient flow and expedited admission procedures, while boosting staff readiness through more than 300 educational activities and 40 simulation exercises during 2023 and 2024. This achievement comes nearly four and a half years after the hospital began operations in February 2022.

Significance of the award and hospital achievements

The Health Performance Award recognizes healthcare institutions that make a tangible impact on care quality, service efficiency, and beneficiary experience. It aims to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in the health sector, using data-driven assessments and performance indicators in line with Saudi Vision 2030 and the Health Sector Transformation Program.
