Prince Mohammed bin Nasser Hospital in Jazan, part of the Jazan Health Cluster, has successfully performed its first percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) to remove complex kidney stones, marking a medical milestone that strengthens its capabilities in advanced urological surgery.

The procedure was carried out on a patient suffering from complex kidney stones. The medical team accessed the kidney through a small incision in the skin and removed the stones using the PCNL technique. This advanced method is used to treat large and complex stones and is less invasive than traditional surgical approaches when appropriate.
