Saudi foreign minister discusses regional developments with Qatari, Kuwaiti and Bahraini counterparts

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan received separate phone calls from Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and Bahraini Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani.

The discussions focused on recent regional developments and emphasized the importance of efforts to de-escalate tensions and safeguard freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and Bab Al-Mandab, aiming to mitigate the security and economic repercussions of the ongoing crisis.

The ministers also condemned and denounced attacks by Iran and its affiliated terrorist militias in Iraq and Yemen, reaffirming their full solidarity in confronting any threats to the security and stability of regional states. They rejected all actions undermining regional security and stability, and stressed the need to continue coordination and consultation to support the region’s security and enhance Gulf cooperation.
