GCC chief condemns Houthi attacks on Najran, pledges unity with Saudi Arabia

Gulf Cooperation Council Secretary-General Jasem Mohammed Albudaiwi has strongly condemned the recent terrorist attacks carried out by Houthi militias targeting the Najran region, which left several innocent civilians injured. He described the assault as a cowardly and criminal act that reflects the militias' violent tactics.

Albudaiwi said the Houthi attack constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law, and is a crime that demands accountability. He noted the deliberate and indiscriminate targeting of civilians and civilian sites, calling it a blatant challenge to international norms and a serious threat to regional and global security and stability.

The Secretary-General stressed that the security of Saudi Arabia is inseparable from that of the GCC states, and affirmed that the Council stands united with the Kingdom. He voiced support for all measures Saudi Arabia takes to protect its security, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the safety of its citizens and residents.
