Transport General Authority approves 14 new maritime training programs

As part of its efforts to enhance the quality of maritime training, improve training outcomes, and develop the skills of sector employees in line with approved standards and requirements, the Transport General Authority has conducted audits and compliance checks of maritime training programs at Azdah Maritime Training Institute in Ras Tanura and the International Maritime Training Center at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah.

The audit at Azdah Maritime Training Institute confirmed compliance with quality and safety requirements, the availability of training equipment and tools, and the updating of educational programs according to best practices. At the International Maritime Training Center at King Abdulaziz University, the audit results included meeting quality and safety standards, readiness of training equipment and tools, and the accreditation of 14 maritime training programs for sector employees. These initiatives aim to enhance professional skills and provide the maritime transport sector with qualified personnel to meet industry needs.

The Transport General Authority continues its development efforts to raise the efficiency of the maritime workforce, supporting the advancement of the maritime transport system, contributing to the goals of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, and strengthening Saudi Arabia’s position as a global logistics hub.
