Makkah schools fully prepared for new academic year, education authority says

The General Directorate of Education in the Makkah region has confirmed its readiness to welcome students for the start of the new 1448 academic year, following comprehensive field and organizational preparations. Schools and educational facilities have been readied and their preparedness closely monitored to ensure a smooth start to the school year, providing a safe, attractive, and motivating learning environment. These efforts reflect the collaboration between educational departments, school leadership, and teaching and administrative staff.

Abdullah bin Saad Al-Ghannam, Director General of Education in the region, emphasized the importance of readiness for the new academic year 1448, ensuring an effective start and a stimulating school environment for all students.

During a meeting today with school principals in the region, Al-Ghannam reviewed the main preparations and necessary arrangements for welcoming students, as well as equipping schools with all educational and organizational requirements to support a successful start to the year.

Al-Ghannam stressed the importance of cooperation between educational leaders and school administrations, raising the level of preparedness, and monitoring field operations to enhance the quality of education and create a safe, motivating environment for learning and creativity.

He noted that schools play a central role in achieving educational goals, highlighting the crucial role of principals in leading the field, motivating teaching and administrative staff, and building effective partnerships with families to support students’ educational journeys and improve learning outcomes.

He affirmed the ongoing commitment to readiness and the integration of efforts to ensure an outstanding start to the academic year, reflecting the aspirations of the nation’s leadership, aligning with the Ministry of Education’s goals, and contributing to a promising future for the country’s youth.

More than 500,000 students are expected to attend 2,455 schools under the General Directorate of Education in the Makkah region at the start of the new 1448 academic year, in an organized educational environment that demonstrates the high level of preparedness across all schools and facilities.
