Jeddah municipality steps up field campaigns against negative practices

Jeddah Municipality, represented by the Agency for Sub-Municipalities and its affiliated branches, has intensified simultaneous field inspection campaigns to combat negative practices in several neighborhoods and locations across the governorate. The unified inspection plan targets illegal markets, street vendors, and violations related to food handling and storage, in coordination with relevant authorities.

The campaigns included the removal of an unauthorized market south of the livestock market in southern Jeddah, as well as the seizure of two unlicensed sites used to store spoiled and unidentified meat. Authorities also confiscated around two tons of non-compliant food and goods, taking appropriate legal measures regarding these violations.

These coordinated campaigns are part of the unified field inspection plan for sub-municipalities, aiming to intensify oversight efforts simultaneously and curb the activities of street vendors, illegal markets, and other violations that tend to increase over weekends. The initiative seeks to combat negative phenomena, protect public health, enhance compliance, and improve the urban landscape in Jeddah.
