Kuwait condemns Houthi attacks on Najran as violation of Saudi sovereignty

Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned and denounced the attacks carried out by the Houthi militia on Najran in Saudi Arabia, which targeted civilian sites and resulted in injuries to several innocent civilians.

In a statement posted today on its official account on the X platform, the ministry said these attacks constitute a blatant violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, a breach of international law and international humanitarian law, and an escalation that undermines regional security and stability.

The ministry reaffirmed Kuwait’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, expressing its support for all measures the Kingdom takes to safeguard its sovereignty, maintain its security and stability, and protect its citizens and residents.

According to the statement, the ministry stressed that the security of Saudi Arabia is inseparable from the security of Kuwait and the Gulf Cooperation Council states.
