Northern Border University maintains position in 2026 Shanghai ranking

Northern Border University has maintained its presence in the 2026 Shanghai Academic Ranking of World Universities, ranking among 14 Saudi universities included in the list. The university was placed in the 901–1000 global category, reflecting its ongoing progress in academic and research performance.

This achievement is part of the university’s efforts to enhance the quality and competitiveness of its outputs, and to strengthen its position on both the local and global academic excellence map, supporting its presence in international rankings.

The Shanghai ranking (ARWU) is considered one of the world’s leading benchmarks for evaluating the top 1,000 universities annually. It is based on rigorous academic and research criteria, including quality of education, faculty competence, research output and volume, as well as a comprehensive assessment of academic performance relative to the institution’s size.
