Six Yemenis arrested in Jazan for smuggling 84 kg of khat

Border Guard ground patrols in the Al-Ardah sector of Jazan region have arrested six Yemeni nationals for violating border security regulations by attempting to smuggle 84 kilograms of the narcotic plant khat.

According to a statement on the Border Guard's official X account, initial legal procedures have been completed against the suspects, and both they and the seized contraband have been handed over to the relevant authorities.

Security authorities urge citizens and residents to report any information related to drug smuggling or trafficking by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 and 994 in other regions of the Kingdom. Reports can also be made to the General Directorate of Narcotics Control at 995 or via email at ([email protected]). Authorities stress that all reports will be treated with strict confidentiality and without any liability for the informant.
