Strong winds and rising temperatures expected across several regions Monday

The National Center for Meteorology has forecast a rise in maximum temperatures on Monday across parts of the Eastern Province as well as areas of Makkah and Madinah. The report also indicated that strong winds stirring dust and sand will persist in these regions, as well as in parts of Riyadh and Najran, extending to the eastern areas of Asir and Al-Baha. Visibility may drop to near zero along the coastal road leading to Jazan.

The report noted that surface winds over the Red Sea will range from southwesterly to northwesterly at 10–28 km/h in the northern part, and from northwesterly to northerly at 25–55 km/h in the central and southern sections. Wave heights are expected to reach 0.5 to 1 meter in the north, and 1.5 to 2.5 meters in the central and southern parts. Sea conditions will be slight in the north and moderate to rough in the central and southern areas.

Winds over the Arabian Gulf will be northwesterly to westerly at 15–40 km/h in the north, and southwesterly to westerly at 10–30 km/h in the central and southern parts. Waves are expected to be 0.5 to 1.5 meters high, with sea conditions ranging from slight to moderate.
