Speaking in an interview on Al-Ikhbariya Radio, Al-Eid said Yemen is the second largest recipient of Saudi assistance, receiving more than 108 billion riyals (SAR).
He explained that this significant sum comes from various institutions, including the Saudi Fund for Development, which has played a major role in supporting development projects in Yemen, as well as the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, which has financed a large number of projects.
Al-Eid added that, despite the current crisis making development interventions difficult, Yemen remains one of the countries most affected by water security issues, relying heavily on rainfall. As a result, Saudi Arabia has funded more than 61 projects across many Yemeni provinces.
