Jazan Municipality leads Saudi Arabia in volunteer work with over 57,000 participants

Jazan Municipality has secured first place among all Saudi municipalities for volunteer work, with 57,775 volunteers participating in its initiatives and opportunities during the first half of 2026. This achievement reflects the growing culture of volunteerism and the effectiveness of community programs implemented by the municipality in partnership with various sectors.

The municipality's volunteer initiatives covered a wide range of areas, including tree planting and increasing green cover, cleaning beaches, parks, and public facilities, improving urban landscapes and removing visual blight, as well as community monitoring of municipal issues. Other initiatives included environmental, health, and social programs, walking campaigns, food preservation, housing, and dignified burial services. These efforts have expanded community participation and strengthened the developmental impact of volunteer work across the region's governorates.

Jazan Municipality spokesperson Fahd Al-Ahmari said that leading the Kingdom in volunteer work demonstrates the success of the municipality's strategy to enhance community partnerships and expand volunteer opportunities in environmental, municipal, and social fields. He affirmed the municipality's commitment to launching innovative initiatives, empowering volunteers, and strengthening partnerships to improve quality of life, foster a culture of social responsibility, and achieve sustainable development.
