Medina Border Guard holds workshop on Zawil marine fishing portal

The General Directorate of Border Guard in the Medina region held a workshop for fishermen and marine activity practitioners, in cooperation with Elm Company, to introduce the digital services of the Zawil portal.

The workshop reviewed the steps for obtaining permits required for sailing, fishing, and marine excursions, and explained the digital services offered through the portal, aiming to streamline procedures for beneficiaries and promote compliance with maritime safety and security requirements.

Organizers stated that the workshop is part of the Border Guard’s efforts to encourage the use of the Zawil portal among those involved in fishing and marine activities, as well as to emphasize adherence to regulations protecting aquatic life resources across the Kingdom.

Call to report environmental violations

The General Directorate of Border Guard also urged the public to report any cases of environmental or wildlife violations by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Medina, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 994 in other regions, assuring that all reports are confidential and that informants bear no responsibility.
