Arab Parliament condemns Houthi attacks on Saudi cities, reaffirms support

The Arab Parliament has strongly condemned the terrorist attacks carried out by the Houthi militia using ballistic missiles and drones against the Saudi cities of Khamis Mushait, Abha, and Taif, which resulted in injuries to several civilians and caused material damage to homes and vehicles.

In a statement issued today from Cairo, Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Yamahi said these attacks constitute a blatant violation of international law, international humanitarian law, the United Nations Charter, and relevant Security Council resolutions.

Al-Yamahi affirmed the Arab Parliament’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its complete support for all measures the Kingdom takes to protect its sovereignty, security, and stability, stressing that Saudi Arabia’s security is an integral part of Arab national security.

The Arab Parliament called on the UN Security Council to assume its responsibilities and take a firm stance to stop these repeated attacks and hold perpetrators and their supporters accountable, in order to safeguard the security and stability of the region.
