Third group of King Salman’s Umrah guests departs after pilgrimage

The third group of guests from the King Salman Umrah and Visit Program for 1448 AH has completed their departure from Makkah today, returning to their home countries after performing Umrah, visiting the Prophet’s Mosque, and touring several Islamic and historical landmarks in Makkah and Madinah.

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance stated that during their stay in Madinah, the guests visited the Prophet’s Mosque, offered greetings to the Prophet Muhammad and his two companions, and prayed in the Rawdah Al-Sharifah.

Cultural programs and field visits

The visits also included Mount Uhud, the Martyrs’ Cemetery, Quba Mosque, the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Qur’an, and the International Exhibition and Museum of the Prophet’s Biography and Islamic Civilization, as part of the program’s cultural and educational activities.

The guests expressed their gratitude and appreciation to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for the care and hospitality they received during their visit, praying that God rewards the leadership for its service to Islam and Muslims.

250 pilgrims from 23 African countries

The third group included 250 male and female pilgrims representing 23 African countries: Morocco, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Senegal, Guinea-Conakry, Cameroon, Nigeria, Ghana, Niger, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Mauritania, Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Chad, Tanzania, Djibouti, South Africa, Zambia, Namibia, Angola, and Mali.
