Five Ethiopians arrested in Jazan for smuggling 100 kg of khat

Border Guard land patrols in the Al-Daer sector of Jazan region have arrested five Ethiopian nationals for violating border security regulations by attempting to smuggle 100 kilograms of the narcotic plant khat.

According to a statement on the Border Guard's account on the X platform, initial legal procedures have been completed against the suspects, and both they and the seized contraband have been handed over to the relevant authorities.

Security authorities urged citizens and residents to report any information related to drug smuggling or trafficking by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern Province, or 999 and 994 in other regions of the Kingdom.
