Jazan prince oversees health sector agreements, Healthy Cities expansion

Mohammed bin Abdulaziz, Prince of the Jazan Region, today witnessed the signing of a joint cooperation agreement between the Emirate of Jazan, represented by the Community Partnership Department, and the regional branch of the Ministry of Health, represented by the Nonprofit Health Sector Administration. The ceremony also included the signing of agreements for Sabya and Al-Aydabi governorates to join the Healthy Cities program, in the presence of Dr. Awaji bin Qasim Al-Naami, Director General of the Ministry of Health branch in Jazan, Dr. Khafeer bin Zare Al-Omari, Governor of Sabya, and Nizar bin Maadi Al-Bargi, Governor of Al-Aydabi.

The Emirate of Jazan was represented in the signing by Deputy of the Emirate Waleed bin Sultan Al-Sanawi, while Dr. Awaji bin Qasim Al-Naami signed on behalf of the Ministry of Health branch.

The agreement aims to enhance integration and unify efforts to serve beneficiaries, leverage the capabilities of nonprofit health associations and institutions, raise the efficiency and impact of services, and activate partnerships between the government and nonprofit sectors.

The agreements for Sabya and Al-Aydabi to join the Healthy Cities program are part of efforts to expand the program's implementation in Jazan, strengthen collaboration across sectors, and create environments that support health and quality of life by applying program standards and enabling community participation in achieving sustainable health development.

During the signing ceremony, the prince received the annual report of the Ministry of Health's Jazan branch for 1447 AH, reviewing key activities, performance indicators, and initiatives. He also received a report on the nonprofit health sector's efforts in the region, highlighting initiatives to strengthen the sector's role and activate community partnerships.

The prince praised the strong support the health sector receives from the national leadership, emphasizing the importance of continued efforts and enhanced partnerships between government and nonprofit entities to develop and improve health services, meet beneficiaries' expectations, and promote community health and quality of life in line with Saudi Vision 2030 goals.
