Saudi Arabia and Germany share vision for economic, tech cooperation: analyst

Political analyst Mubarak Al-Ati said Saudi Arabia and Germany share a vision to strengthen economic cooperation and localize technological industries, as well as a political outlook focused on de-escalation and addressing current challenges.

Speaking to Al Ekhbariya TV, Al-Ati added that Saudi Arabia leads the global energy market, while Germany is known for its heavy and advanced industries. Both countries, he said, have a shared vision for clean energy and for localizing new technological industries—areas where Germany excels—within the Saudi market, contributing to the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

The analyst also stressed the importance of political and security cooperation between the two countries, noting their shared interest in the security of maritime corridors vital to the flow of the global economy. He added that both nations are committed to combating terrorism and have similar views on de-escalating conflicts, including the Russia-Ukraine war and US-Iran tensions.
