Citizen detained for unlicensed camping in Imam Faisal bin Turki Royal Reserve

The Special Forces for Environmental Security have detained a citizen for violating environmental regulations by camping without a permit in Imam Faisal bin Turki Royal Reserve. Legal measures have been taken against the individual.

The forces explained that camping in forests or national parks without a permit carries a fine of up to 3,000 riyals (SAR). They urged the public to report any violations against the environment or wildlife by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 and 996 in other regions of the Kingdom. Authorities stressed that all reports will be handled with complete confidentiality and without any liability for the informant.
