7 million cubic meters released from Wadi Qanuna Dam to support farmers in Al-Qunfudhah

This is expected to support the agricultural season and improve crop yields.
He noted that Wadi Qanuna is home to several farms producing local crops, including sesame and sorghum, as well as vegetables and tropical fruits such as mangoes.
The dam’s role in development and village protection
Al-Dughays pointed out that the valley originates from the slopes of the Sarawat Mountains and passes through villages in Bani Bahir Center in Al-Ardiyat Governorate and Sabt Al-Jarah Center in Al-Qunfudhah Governorate, before emptying into the Red Sea.
He added that Wadi Qanuna Dam also helps protect nearby villages and centers from flood risks, in addition to serving developmental and agricultural purposes in Khamis Harb, Sabt Al-Jarah, Ahad Bani Zaid, and their surrounding villages.
