Saudi National Water Efficiency Center opens entries for 'Maee' Award

The National Water Efficiency and Conservation Center (Maee) has announced that it will begin accepting entries for the 'Maee' Water Efficiency Award starting tomorrow, as part of its efforts to foster a competitive environment that encourages innovation and highlights initiatives supporting optimal resource use and water sustainability.

The center invited all sectors and individuals from the targeted categories to visit the award’s website and register under the designated tracks, describing the award as a strategic initiative to promote excellence and embed a culture of water sustainability across various sectors and segments of society.

Award tracks and target categories

The award features three main tracks: Water Efficiency and Conservation Practices, Promoting Water Conservation Culture, and Maee Partners. These tracks are open to government entities, the private sector, non-profit organizations, communities, and individuals, with specific criteria and requirements for each track.

The center explained that the award aims to raise awareness about the importance of water efficiency and conservation, encourage outstanding practices, and recognize impactful achievements that contribute to sustainable community development.

Award benefits and call for participation

Winners of the 'Maee' Award will receive official recognition highlighting their contributions to water efficiency and conservation. In addition, individual winners will be granted financial rewards in appreciation of their role in raising awareness and promoting responsible behaviors.

The National Water Efficiency and Conservation Center launched the 'Maee' Award under the patronage of Deputy Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Mansour Al-Mushaiti, during his participation in Saudi Water Week 2026, recently held in Jeddah.
