Over 68,000 mosque inspections conducted in Madinah region in two months

The Madinah branch of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance conducted 68,670 inspections of mosques and prayer halls across the region and its governorates during July and August 2026. The initiative is part of the ministry’s efforts to care for mosques, monitor the quality of services provided to worshippers, and assess their needs.

The inspections included monitoring maintenance, cleanliness, and operations, as well as identifying and addressing any requirements or observations related to mosques and their facilities. The aim is to enhance the readiness of mosques, improve the quality of services for visitors, oversee the performance of contracted companies, and ensure mosque staff fulfill their duties according to approved regulations and instructions.

These efforts are part of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs’ programs to intensify field supervision of mosques and prayer halls, maintain their readiness, and provide worshippers with a suitable environment to perform their religious duties with ease and peace of mind.
