Saudi-German roundtable in Berlin explores sports investment opportunities

The Sports Investment Forum (SIF), in collaboration with the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce (Ghorfa), held the Saudi-German Roundtable on Economy and Sports Investment in Berlin, bringing together leading investors, company representatives, and sector specialists from both countries.

The meeting aimed to strengthen investment cooperation and build new bridges between the business communities and sports sectors in Saudi Arabia and Germany. Attendees included Dr. Peter Ramsauer, Honorary President of Ghorfa, Ibrahim Al-Bakri, CEO of the Sports Investment Forum and Chairman of the National Committee for Sports Investment at the Federation of Saudi Chambers, as well as a number of investors and representatives from German companies and institutions.

The roundtable discussed the rapid transformation of Saudi Arabia’s sports sector under Vision 2030, which has led to an expansion of investment and commercial opportunities across various sports fields. Participants also explored ways to enhance the participation of German companies and investors in the Saudi sports market.

Sharing experiences and exploring partnerships

During the meeting, Ibrahim Al-Bakri highlighted the Sports Investment Forum’s experience and its role in bringing together investors, opportunity holders, decision-makers, and sports entities on a single platform. He also reviewed key outcomes from previous editions, as well as reports and investment opportunities available in the Saudi market, and the agreements, initiatives, and investment partnerships achieved so far.

Al-Bakri noted that cooperation with the German side represents a significant opportunity to connect Saudi Arabia’s growing investment potential with Germany’s expertise, companies, technologies, and capital. He emphasized that the goal is to establish a sustainable path for cooperation, enabling investors from both countries to access opportunities and develop joint partnerships and projects.

Future participation opportunities

The meeting also addressed the upcoming edition of the Sports Investment Forum and the opportunities available for German companies, investors, and organizations to participate—whether through direct investment, presenting opportunities and projects, or taking part in the exhibition, sessions, workshops, and accompanying programs.

Discussions focused on the importance of building bridges between Saudi investment opportunities and the German business community, and on developing practical mechanisms to allow German companies and investors to directly explore opportunities in the Kingdom. Conversely, the talks also aimed at enabling Saudi investors and businesspeople to access opportunities, expertise, technologies, and partnerships in the German market.
