Eight expatriates arrested in Makkah for illegal soil extraction

The Special Forces for Environmental Security have arrested eight expatriates—Filipino, Pakistani, Syrian, and Yemeni nationals—for violating environmental regulations by exploiting soil deposits in the Makkah region. Legal measures have been taken against them.

Authorities reported the seizure of six pieces of equipment used for soil excavation and transport. The public is urged to report any environmental or wildlife violations by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 and 996 in other regions. All reports will be handled confidentially, with no liability for the informant.
