Saudi security expert: Citizens united behind leadership to defend nation

Security expert Abdullah Al-Qahtani has stated that Saudi citizens, whether civilians or members of the military, are united behind their leadership in defending the nation. He emphasized the readiness of the Saudi Armed Forces to confront any attempts to threaten the Kingdom’s security or its holy sites.

Speaking to Al Ekhbariya TV, Al-Qahtani said: “Our armed forces are vigilant against anyone who tries to undermine the Kingdom’s security or its sacred sites.” His comments came as Saudi authorities announced the interception and destruction of six ballistic missiles launched by the Houthi militia toward Taif and Yanbu.

Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, spokesperson for the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen, said Saudi air defenses had thwarted the attempted attacks on the two cities, explaining that the air defense systems successfully neutralized the threat.

Al-Maliki stressed that any escalation or violations by the Houthi militia would be met with firm action, as coalition forces continue to monitor developments and threats.
