Thunderstorms and heavy rain forecast for parts of Saudi Arabia through Tuesday

The National Center for Meteorology has forecast continued thunderstorms and rainfall in parts of Saudi Arabia from Friday through next Tuesday.

The center said on X that the weather conditions will include strong downdraft winds, hail, high waves, and possible flash flooding.

In its weather report on Wednesday, the National Center for Meteorology also predicted the formation of rain-bearing thunderclouds with active winds over parts of Jazan, Asir, and Al-Baha, while maximum temperatures are expected to remain high in parts of the Eastern Province and Riyadh.
