Saudi health minister discusses expanding health cooperation with Uzbekistan

Saudi Minister of Health Fahad Al-Jalajel met on Monday in Tashkent with Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance, Jamshid Kuchkarov, during an official visit aimed at exploring opportunities to strengthen health and investment cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance collaboration in several areas, most notably the sustainability of healthcare financing and the adoption of a 'Health in All Policies' approach to ensure greater integration of government efforts in achieving public health goals.

The talks also addressed promoting preventive health and population health principles to support the development of more efficient and sustainable healthcare systems in both countries.

This meeting reflects the Saudi Ministry of Health’s commitment to expanding high-quality, sustainable international partnerships, exchanging expertise, and sharing knowledge in line with the Health Sector Transformation Program under Saudi Vision 2030, while strengthening the Kingdom’s position as a global partner in healthcare development.
