Arab League condemns continued Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia

The Arab League has strongly condemned the continued attacks by the Houthi militia targeting Saudi Arabian territory, including the recent launch of a ballistic missile toward Riyadh and attempts to strike other cities and regions within the Kingdom.

In a statement issued today, the Arab League’s General Secretariat described these assaults as a dangerous and unacceptable escalation, a violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity, and a threat to the safety of civilians. The statement warned that such actions increase regional tensions and threaten the security and stability of the area.

The Arab League reaffirmed its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and support for all measures the Kingdom takes to protect its security, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens and residents. It stressed that Saudi Arabia’s security is an integral part of Arab national security.

The General Secretariat also called for an immediate end to these attacks and urged all parties to avoid further escalation, emphasizing the need to respect Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and to adhere to international law.
