Saudi women chefs create traditional dishes with Madinah dates at date festival

Saudi women continue to play an active role across all fields, in line with the goals set by the government under Saudi Vision 2030.

In this context, a group of Saudi chefs have introduced traditional dishes made with Madinah dates as part of the Madinah Date Season.

One of the chefs, speaking in an interview aired on Al Arabiya channel, said she has always enjoyed participating in the date festival and joined her colleagues to represent the National Center for Palms and Dates with innovative recipes.

The date season is part of ongoing efforts to develop the agricultural sector, enhance the added value of local products, boost the competitiveness of Saudi dates, and increase exports to global markets, reinforcing the Kingdom’s position as one of the world’s largest producers and exporters of dates.

The Madinah Date Season serves as a key platform for marketing dates and acts as an economic, developmental, and cultural hub, bringing together farmers, investors, entrepreneurs, and relevant organizations, as well as visitors from within the Kingdom and abroad. The season features a range of activities including exhibitions, workshops, panel discussions, and interactive events, further establishing Madinah as a leading center for the palm and date sector.
