The award was received by Ahmed Malash Al-Anazi, Deputy CEO of the National Afforestation Program, from Yemen’s Minister of Water and Environment Tawfiq Abdulwahid Al-Sharjabi, who currently chairs the council, and Dr. Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Maliki, Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Economic Affairs Sector at the Arab League.
The Arab Environmental Excellence Award is held every two years and includes five main categories: excellence in government, civil, and private sectors, as well as environmental scientific innovation and joint Arab environmental action.
