Two students from the College of Computer and Information Sciences at Jouf University have won the International Excellence Award for their project "Morph" at the second International Artificial Intelligence in Education Competition 2026, held in Hong Kong and organized by the Artificial Intelligence Research and Education Alliance (AIREA) at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK).

The award was presented to Ghaida bint Hamdan Al-Falah and Safia bint Rafea Al-Rahim, under the supervision of Assistant Professor of Software Engineering Dr. Mashael bint Nasser Al-Khamsan, in the category of generative AI tools in education.

About the "Morph" project

"Morph" is an adaptive learning platform designed for higher education students with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The system monitors students' attention levels in real time using EEG signals and automatically reformulates educational content into more suitable formats when attention drops, based on established educational theories.

This achievement highlights the ability of Jouf University students to leverage artificial intelligence technologies in developing innovative educational solutions, particularly for learners with special needs.
