Saudi health minister signs agreement with Portugal to boost healthcare partnership

Minister of Health Fahad bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel has signed a memorandum of understanding with Portuguese Minister of Health Ana Paula Martins during his visit to Portugal, aimed at strengthening healthcare partnership between the two countries.

During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to advance cooperation in healthcare, exchange expertise and best practices, and foster strategic partnerships in innovation and health transformation.

The memorandum covers the development of joint frameworks between the two ministries and the exchange of knowledge in healthcare, innovation, and digital health, contributing to improved efficiency and sustainability of health services in both Saudi Arabia and Portugal.

Al-Jalajel stated that this step is part of the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to enhance international health cooperation and support the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program under Saudi Vision 2030.
