Saudi National Cybersecurity Authority launches student awareness campaign for new school year

The National Cybersecurity Authority, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, has launched the second edition of the awareness campaign "Back to School Safely" to coincide with the start of the new academic year. The initiative aims to enhance cybersecurity awareness among students and their parents, and to promote safe practices throughout the school year.

The campaign seeks to protect students and their families from evolving cyber threats by raising awareness about safe use of technology and educational platforms, countering phishing attempts, and handling suspicious links and messages using available security tools.

It also focuses on the importance of strong passwords, security updates, parental controls, two-factor authentication, and safe internet browsing. The campaign distributes educational materials to help build a strong cybersecurity culture within the educational community.

Awareness materials via "Aman" program

The campaign features a range of educational content through the "Aman" cybersecurity awareness program’s social media accounts, enabling students and parents to recognize phishing attempts, reduce associated risks, and encourage safe use of electronic devices throughout the school year.

This campaign is part of the National Cybersecurity Authority’s ongoing initiatives to raise cybersecurity awareness across all segments of society, strengthen national security, and help create a safe and reliable Saudi cyberspace that supports growth and prosperity.
