Alfaisal University to host second stem cell therapy conference in October

Alfaisal University in Riyadh will host the second Stem Cell and Gene Therapy Conference (SCGTC 2026) in October, under the theme "Stem Cell Therapy: A Paradigm Shift in Treatment and Its Role in Regenerative Medicine," with the participation of leading researchers, physicians, specialists, and innovators.
The conference will explore rapid advances in cellular and gene therapies and discuss how these innovations can move from research labs to clinical practice, highlighting the latest scientific developments, clinical applications, and emerging therapeutic strategies.
The scientific program will cover stem cell biology and regeneration mechanisms, cell-based therapies, clinical trials, safety and efficacy standards, as well as gene therapy, cell engineering, and modern gene-editing technologies such as CRISPR.
Precision medicine and genomics will feature prominently in the conference sessions, particularly the use of genetic information to select patients and personalize treatments, in addition to tissue engineering, biomaterials, and organoids.
