Saudi border guards arrest citizen for smuggling khat in Jazan

Border Guard land patrols in the Al-Ardah sector of Jazan region have arrested a Saudi citizen for smuggling 3 kilograms of the narcotic plant khat.

According to a statement on the Border Guard's official X account, initial legal procedures have been completed against the suspect, and both the individual and the seized materials have been handed over to the relevant authorities.

Security authorities urge citizens and residents to report any information related to drug smuggling or trafficking activities by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 and 994 in other regions of the Kingdom. Reports can also be made to the General Directorate of Narcotics Control at 995, or via email at [email protected]. All reports will be handled with strict confidentiality and without liability for the informant.
