Interior Ministry showcases integrated security system with advanced tech at LEAP 2026

The Ministry of Interior presented a comprehensive vision for leveraging modern technologies, data, artificial intelligence, and digital solutions during its participation at the LEAP 2026 exhibition in Riyadh. The ministry aims to transform technology from isolated tools into interconnected capabilities that enhance security and safety, empower security personnel, improve institutional efficiency, advance services, and strengthen decision-making.

The ministry explained that its systems operate in an integrated manner within a dynamic environment encompassing cities, roads, services, and continuously flowing data. These systems monitor, analyze, respond, and support decision-making, turning technology into a practical capability that extends from the field to command centers and from the roads to the wider community.

Six interconnected systems and 36 services and projects

The Interior Ministry highlighted six interconnected systems representing the full picture of technological transformation in security and services. These include: field security and safety, rapid response, traffic safety, security cameras, digital services, and institutional services. From these systems, 36 services and projects branch out, distributed as follows: 7 in field security and safety, 8 in rapid response, 3 in traffic safety, 7 in security cameras, 9 in digital services, and 2 in institutional services.

Artificial intelligence at the core of security transformation

The ministry noted that artificial intelligence has become a key element in enhancing the value of data. The focus is no longer just on collecting information, but also on analyzing it and extracting indicators to support decision-making and effective response. AI helps link indicators and accelerate knowledge acquisition, increasing the efficiency and proactivity of responses.

Practical technologies to boost security impact

The ministry showcased several field technologies, such as the mobile security checkpoint "Sprinter vehicle," drones for monitoring and surveillance, and bomb disposal robots. It emphasized that the true value lies in the function and impact of these technologies, rather than the tools themselves.

In the same context, the ministry explained that this system reflects a broader shift in the concept of security work—from reacting to incidents after they occur to building advanced capabilities for monitoring, analysis, and response, benefiting from the integration of technology, data, and AI.

The Interior Ministry added that the effects of digital transformation extend to society, beneficiaries, and the institutional work environment. Security technologies enhance safety, digital services streamline processes and save time, and smart solutions enable security personnel to perform their duties more efficiently.

The ministry concluded that people remain both the starting point and the ultimate goal of employing technology—providing security personnel with additional tools, delivering safety and security to the community, offering easier and faster services to beneficiaries, and giving decision-makers clearer and more comprehensive insights.
