Qassim municipality prepares venue for fourth Shaqra Al-Asyah Date Festival

The Al-Asyah Municipality, under the Qassim Region Municipality, has completed preparations for the fourth edition of the Shaqra Al-Asyah Date Festival, ahead of its launch next Sunday in the central area of Ain Ibn Fuhayd.

Municipality head Ghazi Al-Dhafiri said the municipality ensured the festival site was fully equipped, reflecting the event’s significance and its role in supporting local farmers and date producers.

Preparations included readying festival facilities, enhancing the site's operational readiness, maintaining the electrical and lighting systems, washing the grounds, boosting general cleanliness, and preparing market facilities to provide an optimal environment for displaying and marketing dates.

Al-Dhafiri added that the preparations covered all service, technical, and organizational aspects, aiming to support the marketing of dates and strengthen the festival’s position as an economic and community destination for residents and visitors.

Supporting agriculture and the economy

The fourth Shaqra Al-Asyah Date Festival continues a series of seasonal events that promote agricultural and economic activity in Al-Asyah Governorate, offering farmers and producers opportunities to market their products, highlight the quality of local dates, and stimulate commercial activity during the date season.
