Jeddah Municipality lifts red zone restrictions on 1,147 plots in Tayba and Jawharat Al-Arous

Jeddah Municipality has lifted red zone restrictions from 1,147 land plots in the Tayba and Jawharat Al-Arous developments, enabling affected landowners to complete regulatory procedures and benefit from municipal services in accordance with approved regulations and requirements. This move is part of the municipality’s ongoing efforts to review and address lands classified within the red zone in phases, according to the status and technical and regulatory requirements of each development.

The municipality stated that engineering offices and consulting firms have been notified to provide municipal services to the affected plots, including issuing land survey decisions and construction permits, and to complete related procedures through approved channels.

Jeddah Municipality explained that the status of lands within the red zone involves several regulatory and planning considerations that vary by location. The municipality is working to address cases within its jurisdiction and fulfill the necessary technical and regulatory requirements, coordinating with relevant authorities for cases that fall under other jurisdictions or considerations.

The municipality emphasized that these sites are being addressed in phases, depending on the status and requirements of each development, to ensure procedural clarity and maintain regulatory, planning, and public interest considerations. It added that studies are ongoing for sites that can be further addressed within the municipality’s jurisdiction, with updates to be announced as they become available.
