Saudi foreign minister attends UN meeting on maritime security cooperation

Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah participated in a ministerial meeting titled "Enhancing Cooperation for a Secure Maritime Domain" on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly's 81st session in New York on September 23, 2026.

The meeting addressed ways to strengthen international cooperation and coordination to protect maritime security, as well as to confront challenges and threats facing maritime corridors and domains.

Participants also discussed the importance of ensuring freedom of maritime navigation and securing supply chains, which contribute to regional and international stability and security.

Also in attendance was Prince Dr. Abdullah bin Khalid bin Saud Al Kabeer, Director General of the General Department of Policy Planning.
