Jazan Border Guard holds workshop on 'Zawil' portal for fishing sector

The General Directorate of Border Guard in Jazan organized a workshop for fishermen and marine activity operators, in cooperation with Elm Company, to introduce the services of the 'Zawil' electronic portal.

The workshop covered the steps required to obtain permits for sailing, fishing, and marine excursions, as well as an overview of the portal’s digital services, which aim to streamline procedures and enhance compliance with maritime safety and security requirements.

Organizers explained that the initiative is part of the Border Guard’s efforts to promote the use of the 'Zawil' portal among those involved in fishing and marine activities, and to ensure adherence to regulations protecting aquatic resources across the Kingdom.

The directorate also urged the public to report any violations against the environment or wildlife by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 994 in other regions, assuring that reports will remain confidential and that informants bear no responsibility.
