Alber and Rowaa sign first-of-its-kind media studio deal in Madinah

Alber Society in Madinah and Rowaa Digital Media Society have signed an agreement to establish and operate specialized media production studios, in a project aimed at creating a pioneering model for sustainable media investment in the nonprofit sector and enhancing the ability of nonprofit organizations and institutions to produce professional content.

Under the agreement, Alber Society will fund the project and provide and equip the studio premises, while Rowaa Society will manage and operate the studios with specialized media and technical professionals. The project will offer services including video and audio production, photography, editing, podcasting, design and directing, media project and campaign management, as well as training and qualifying volunteers and practitioners in the media field.

Saleh bin Abdulaziz Jablawi, Secretary-General of Alber Society in Madinah, stated that the government of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman provides unlimited support to the nonprofit sector, which has strengthened its developmental and investment role and enabled it to contribute more effectively to the national economy and increase its share of GDP.

Jablawi expressed appreciation for the support and attention the society receives from its Chairman, Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Madinah Region, and Vice Chairman Prince Saud bin Nahar bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, emphasizing that their ongoing efforts have enabled the society to develop its projects and enhance its developmental impact and community services.

Jablawi added that the project represents a move toward investing in media assets to serve the nonprofit sector, saying: "We aim to build a sustainable project that combines community impact with investment efficiency, providing nonprofit entities with professional media services that highlight their work and maximize their impact."

For his part, Rowaa Society Chairman Dr. Ahmed Alidin thanked Alber Society for its support, noting that the studios represent a step forward in developing the media infrastructure of the nonprofit sector, shifting from purchasing media services to building sustainable production capabilities and assets that can be invested in for community benefit.

Rowaa Society CEO Dr. Hassan Alnajrani said they aspire for the studios to become an integrated platform for content creation—from ideation, writing, and design, through filming, podcasting, and production, to editing, directing, training, and the use of artificial intelligence—creating new opportunities for media investment and training within the nonprofit sector.

The agreement was signed recently in the presence of several leaders and administrators from both societies, including Rowaa Society Vice Chairman Dr. Mansour Awad Al-Harithi, Alber Society Assistant Secretary-General for Public Relations Ahmed Alkhateeb, and Rowaa Society Partnerships Manager Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Alsharif, as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation between the two sides.
