Saudi foreign minister: Houthis continue targeting civilian sites, kingdom responds

Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to fully supporting and implementing US President Donald Trump’s plan regarding the Gaza Strip, stressing that the top priority is to achieve a complete ceasefire and allow humanitarian aid to address the ongoing crisis in the territory.

Speaking at the ministerial meeting of the Global Coalition for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, bin Farhan emphasized the urgent need to immediately halt Israeli settlement activities in the West Bank, stating that Israeli practices undermine the two-state solution and violate international law. He added that Saudi Arabia seeks a fair and just peace for the Palestinians, stressing that “the West Bank and Gaza are a single, inseparable entity.”

On Yemen, the foreign minister announced that the kingdom continues to defend itself against threats and attacks by the Houthi militia, which targets Saudi civilian sites. He stressed that Houthi attacks on maritime navigation in the Bab al-Mandab area pose a direct threat to the entire international community.

Bin Farhan underlined that the main priority is to preserve Yemen’s unity and sovereignty over its entire territory, affirming Saudi support for Yemeni sovereignty and the government’s ability to defend areas under its control.
