Eastern Health Cluster launches 'Learn with Health' campaign ahead of school return

The Eastern Health Cluster has launched the 'Learn with Health' campaign as students prepare to return to school for the 1448 academic year, aiming to raise health awareness among students and parents, promote the concept of prevention before treatment, and introduce preventive health services offered by primary healthcare centers to support student well-being and ensure a healthy, safe school year.

The campaign highlights the importance of school health in strengthening community well-being and protecting future generations. It targets students aged 6 to 18, including those entering elementary, intermediate, and secondary levels, as well as parents, teachers, school health counselors, and the wider public.

Key objectives include increasing individual and community health awareness, early disease detection, and ensuring students receive essential vaccinations. The campaign features two main tracks: health awareness activities for students and parents to encourage healthy, preventive behaviors in schools, and preventive services provided in coordination with primary healthcare centers, including initial health screenings and completion of required vaccinations for the target group.

The campaign's media messages are delivered in two phases. The first phase, before the school year begins, focuses on preparing students physically and mentally for their return by adjusting biological clocks, encouraging early bedtimes, promoting healthy breakfasts, gradually reducing screen time, and emphasizing personal hygiene and oral health. The second phase starts with the school year, emphasizing general health during summer classes, including the importance of breakfast, physical activity, hydration, sun and heat protection, and guidance for students with chronic illnesses on appropriate preventive measures.

Through the 'Learn with Health' campaign, the Eastern Health Cluster reaffirms its commitment to promoting prevention, supporting school health, and empowering students and families to adopt healthy practices, in line with the Health Transformation Program and Saudi Vision 2030 goals.
