Social Insurance launches awareness campaign for security sector

The General Organization for Social Insurance has announced the launch of a joint awareness campaign targeting the security guard sector, in cooperation with the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health and the High Commission for Industrial Security. The campaign aims to raise awareness of insurance rights and obligations, enhance compliance with relevant regulations, and contribute to creating a safe and sustainable work environment.

Social Insurance explained that the campaign includes awareness workshops for employers and participants in the security guard sector, featuring comprehensive content from the three organizations. The workshops will be held over three days, from July 27 to 29, 2026, at the organization’s headquarters in Al-Wushm district, Riyadh, with the option to attend in person or virtually.

Workshop topics

The organization noted that the first day will focus on explaining the social insurance system, employer insurance obligations, an introduction to the occupational hazards branch, and classification of work injuries. It will also clarify key regulatory obligations and services that support compliance for security guard companies.

On the second day, the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health will present its role in developing the occupational safety and health system, review related regulations such as professional fitness examinations and non-communicable diseases, and discuss the accreditation of safety and health practitioners and service providers, as well as regulations for high-risk professions. The workshop will also address the excellence and compliance program and the decision to prohibit working under direct sunlight.

The third day will feature the High Commission for Industrial Security, which will outline its roles and regulatory responsibilities, and provide an overview of the private civil security guard sector.

Strengthening partnerships and compliance

Social Insurance emphasized that the campaign is part of its ongoing efforts to promote insurance culture and develop partnerships with relevant entities. The initiative supports compliance with occupational safety and health regulations in the security guard sector, safeguards the insurance rights of workers, and enhances the integration of efforts to improve the work environment and ensure business sustainability.
