Civil Defense urges caution as severe weather hits several regions

The General Directorate of Civil Defense has called on the public to exercise caution and follow safety instructions due to severe weather conditions affecting the regions of Mecca, Jazan, Al-Baha, and Asir, based on a red alert issued by the National Center for Meteorology.

In a statement on its official X account, the directorate noted that these areas are experiencing heavy rainfall, urging residents to take maximum precautions and avoid locations where water accumulates, as well as valleys and dams, to ensure public safety.

The Civil Defense also stressed the importance of adhering to safety guidelines during rainfall and warned against attempting to cross floodwaters.
