Border Guard in Asir arrests Ethiopians for smuggling 46 kg of khat

Saudi Border Guard land patrols in the Raboua sector of Asir region have arrested two Ethiopian nationals for violating border security regulations by attempting to smuggle 46 kilograms of the narcotic plant khat.

Initial legal procedures have been completed against the suspects, and both they and the seized contraband have been handed over to the relevant authorities.

Security authorities urge citizens and residents to report any information related to drug smuggling or trafficking activities by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, 999 or 994 in other regions, the General Directorate of Narcotics Control hotline at 995, or by emailing [email protected].
