Security patrols in Jazan arrest resident for transporting border violator

Security patrols in Al-Dayer governorate, Jazan region, have arrested a Bangladeshi resident for transporting a person in his vehicle who was in violation of border security regulations.

Both the resident and the violator were detained and legal procedures were taken against them. The violator was referred to the relevant authority, while the transporter was referred to the Public Prosecution.

The Ministry of Interior’s Special Forces for Security Patrols stated that facilitating the entry, transport, shelter, or assistance of border security violators is punishable by up to 15 years in prison and a fine of up to SAR 1 million, in addition to confiscation of the means of transport and accommodation used, and public naming of the offender.

The agency emphasized that this is a major offense warranting arrest and affecting honor and integrity. It urged the public to report violations of residency, labor, and border security regulations by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 or 996 in other regions. Reports will be kept confidential and informants will not be held liable.
